Cookie & Tracking Policy
Quti Lab uses a small set of cookies and measurement tools to run the site, keep you signed in, and understand which pages work. This page lists them all.
Last updated: 3 September 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser. We also use browser local storage, which behaves similarly. Some are essential for the site to work; others measure usage and advertising.
2. Essential (always on)
- Authentication session. Keeps you signed in between pages and lets you reach your reports.
- Scan session storage. Temporarily holds your in-progress scan (for example your uploaded photo) while you move through the funnel. Cleared when the session ends.
- Preferences. Your chosen currency and locale settings.
These are required for the service and cannot be switched off while using an account.
3. Analytics
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate page-view statistics on qutilab.com. It does not set persistent tracking cookies or collect personal data.
- Google Tag Manager — a container used to manage measurement tags on the site.
4. Advertising measurement
- Meta Pixel — measures visits and conversions (such as a completed purchase) so we can understand how our Meta ads perform and reach people with relevant ads.
- Meta Conversions API — sends certain purchase events from our server to Meta to verify conversions. Event data is matched to ad interactions; we do not send your photo or report content.
These tools only measure marketing performance — they never receive your uploaded selfie, quiz answers or colour results.
5. Your choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and checkout from working.
- Meta ad preferences. Control how Meta uses your data for ads in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings.
- Do Not Track. Plausible is privacy-focused by design; advertising pixels may not honour DNT signals — use your browser or Meta settings to opt out.
6. Changes
If we add or remove a tracking tool, we will update this page and its date. Questions: support@blog.qutilab.com.
